The Movie
The story focuses on a dying Professor Morlant (Karloff), an Egyptologist obsessed with an ancient jewel - the Eternal Light - that he believes will grant him immortality. After his burial the jewel is stolen, unleashing a horrible vengeance.

This 1933 Boris Karloff classic is one of the earliest British Horror movies and features a dark, foreboding gothic aesthetic. The film was considered lost for many decades. In 1969 a low quality, nearly inaudible, edited and subtitled version was discovered in Czechoslovakia and was the only known surviving copy. Amazingly in the 1980s a forgotten film vault at Shepperton Studios yielded a perfect condition nitrate camera negative, breathing new life into this unique film.
Please note that this 3D release preserves the film's original look and cinematography.
