REEFER MADNESS 3D
PLEASE NOTE: The source material for this conversion shows serious signs of aging but don't let that distract you - the 3d still looks great and the movie is as crazy as you've heard it is!
Reefer Madness (1936) is a cautionary propaganda film that dramatizes the supposed dangers of marijuana use.
The plot follows a group of young adults who are introduced to marijuana by unscrupulous dealers. What begins as experimentation quickly spirals into chaos, including addiction, moral decay, and violent crime. The story exaggerates the effects of marijuana, showing characters descending into madness, engaging in reckless behavior, and committing tragic acts, including manslaughter and suicide.
The film, originally intended as an educational tool, gained notoriety for its melodramatic tone and extreme anti-cannabis stance, later becoming a cult classic for its unintentional humor and over-the-top portrayal of drug culture.
ALIEN PREY 3D
PLEASE NOTE:Â This film contains nudity and scenes of a sexual nature. If you are likely to be offended please do not purchase.
The 1977 British sci-fi horror film Alien Prey follows the unsettling tale of a lesbian couple, Jessica-Anne and Josephine, who live together in a remote countryside home. Their lives take a dark turn when a mysterious man named Anders arrives under the pretense of needing shelter. Unbeknownst to them, Anders is on a reconnaissance mission for his alien species and is studying humans as potential prey. As the tension escalates, Anders' true nature is revealed, leading to a violent and disturbing series of events.
The film explores themes of survival, trust, and the predatory nature of both humans and aliens, blending psychological horror with low-budget sci-fi aesthetics.

Well, we’ve finally reached the last chapter in the classic 1940s Superman cartoons. With Volume One and Two covering the Max and Dave Fleischer Studio episodes, Volume Three will get into the Famous Studios era. Unfortunately things had gone badly for the Fleischer brothers both personally and financially and Paramount - which had contracted with the Fleischers to produce the Superman cartoons - essentially made a hostile takeover of the studio to recover unpaid debts. Dave Fleischer had already left the studio and Max Fleischer was asked to resign. Paramount re-organized the studio into a new company: Famous Studios.
Tonally the cartoons shifted a bit and moved away from mad scientist/villains and natural disasters and leaned more into gangsters and war themed stories. Despite the absence of the Fleischer brothers the animation is still top tier and there are some real gems in the collection; The Underground World is some terrific 40s era sci-fi and Secret Agent is a genuinely action packed adventure. Both episodes probably also feature the strongest 3D of the collection. You'll see the extra effort that's gone into this last chapter once you start watching!
One thing fans may note is that not all the Famous Studios episodes have made it into Volume Three. For more information please see Phil's blog post.
