PLOT
"Frankenstein's Daughter" is a classic horror film that centers around the sinister experiments of Dr. Oliver Frank, who is secretly the grandson of the infamous Dr. Frankenstein.
In modern-day Los Angeles, Dr. Frank works under the guise of an assistant to Dr. Carter Morton, a well-meaning scientist unaware of his assistant's true intentions. Driven by his ancestral legacy and a desire to surpass his grandfather's work, Dr. Frank begins conducting gruesome experiments to create a new life form.
His focus shifts to Susan, Dr. Morton's teenage niece, whom he subjects to his diabolical experiments, resulting in monstrous transformations. As Susan becomes the unwitting victim of these horrific procedures, the town faces a series of mysterious and violent incidents. The film builds tension as Dr. Morton's discovery of Frank's true identity and sinister plans leads to a climactic confrontation, with the lives of many hanging in the balance.
"Frankenstein's Daughter" blends elements of gothic horror with 1950s science fiction, delivering a tale of ambition, identity, and the consequences of playing god.
ANDREW SAYS: "Lovely clean print and featuring the most out of place musical interlude ever this funky mad scientist B movie makes a great double feature with "The Brain that Wouldn't Die".
